About The Guest Speaker
Our guest speaker today is Kankana Barua, the CHRO at Healthium Medtech. She has been instrumental in spearheading a culture of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Healthium Medtech and driving a transformational journey on people and processes.
During the pandemic, Kankana has spearheaded the HR team to work as a business driver in supporting the company by keeping open the manufacturing facilities with due safety measures even during lockdowns to provide an uninterrupted supply of essential medical devices to hospitals. She has driven a slew of initiatives during the pandemic to safeguard the physical, mental and financial well-being of employees by creating a COVID taskforce.
Under her aegis, the company has culturally integrated into a short duration, and three new companies were acquired into the Healthium fold in 2021. During her tenure, a women’s forum, Women’s Alliance for Voluntary Engagement (WAVE), was also formed to improve gender diversity ratios.
Before joining Healthium, Kankana was Chief People Officer, Tally Solutions Pvt Ltd. She is also an Associate Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India. She holds degrees in both Law and Human Resources.
